This Abandoned Dog Was Left To Spend An Entire Night On London Bus

Heartbreaking.

Dogs will forever be man's best friend.

There will never be anyone - and I mean anyone - that will be as loyal as your little four-legged companion.

Which begs the question of why this Staffordshire Bull Terrier was abandoned by his owner, and had to spend an entire night on a London bus.

The bus's driver, Amos Paul Mak, noticed the poor thing getting on 158 bus to Stratford with what he assumed was his owner.

Further into the journey the dog got off the bus at a stop along the route from Chingford Mount to Stratford. To be on the safe side, Amos asked his passengers who the dog belonged to, only to find out that the dog had been left to do the journey on his lonesome.

The dog then got back on the bus, where he stayed until the bus came to the end of its route at Stratford Bus Station. Too scared to leave the bus, the trembling dog stayed on board.

According to the Mirror, Amos said: "The dog just got back on the bus while I was waiting and sat himself down in the wheelchair area. I thought it might be that the owner got off a few stops ago, but with hindsight the dog would have just followed them. I called control and had no choice but to carry on with the dog until Stratford."

The bus driver did his best to comfort the dog, but he was so terrified he couldn't even eat the food that was left for him.

"I came back at about 1am and the dog was still on the bus, but I wasn't able to take it home with me. So I made it comfortable and stayed with it for 15 or 20 minutes and it just didn't want to leave the bus," Amos continued.

Staff named the Staffordshire Bull Terrier 'Buster', and contacted the police and RSPCA to get some advice and help.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: "We were concerned to hear about a dog that appears to have been left on a bus yesterday in the Stratford area of London. We are grateful to the staff at the bus station for letting us know and we have advised them to contact the local dog warden as soon as possible. Local authorities receive funding from central Government for dog warden services to handle stray dog issues."

It breaks my heart. Who wouldn't want him!?
