Here's What Ryan Lochte’s Said When Police Impostors Put A Gun To His Head

He was pretty chill about the whole thing.

If someone put a gun to my head and told me to get down on the ground, I would be flat on my belly in about 0.2 seconds. Why? Because I'm not a complete madman and I value my life.

The same can't be said for American swimmer Ryan Lochte.

The 32-year-old 12-time Olympic medalist was allegedly held up at gunpoint and robbed after attending a party in Rio with Brazilian swimmer Thiago Pereira on Saturday night.

However, when he was told to lie down and put his hands up, he refused.

Speaking in an interview with The Today Show's Billy Bush, he said: "We got pulled over, in the taxi, and these guys came out with a badge, a police badge, no lights, no nothing just a police badge and they pulled us over.

"They pulled out their guns, they told the other swimmers to get down on the ground - they got down on the ground. I refused, I was like we didn't do anything wrong, so - I'm not getting down on the ground.

"And then the guy pulled out his gun, he cocked it, put it to my forehead and he said, 'Get down,' and I put my hands up, I was like 'whatever.' He took our money, he took my wallet - he left my cell phone, he left my credentials."

Lochte won gold on Wednesday in the men's 4x200 freestyle relay, which makes him the second most decorated male Olympic swimmer ever, behind teammate Michael Phelps.

However, this story also makes him an idiotic maniac in my book.

What do you reckon, lads? Brave move or plain stupid?
