For us mere peasants, choosing what to say to a stranger we fancy without making ourselves look like a serial killer can be a real challenge. Celebrities, however, have no idea of the problems we face.
For example, if Leonardo DiCaprio was to approach a girl in a bar and tell her he'd just headbutted her nan outside, she'd probably giggle excitedly and fall head over heels in love with him straight away. If I did the same, she'd kick me in the balls, call the police and pray that her dear grandmother is alright.
In a recent interview on The Howard Stern Show, Olivia Wilde revealed the chat-up line that her boyfriend Jason Sudeikis used to land a date with her, and it's as cheesy as they come.
Apparently the actor and comedian approached her at a Saturday Night Live after-party and said, "whatever it is you're looking for, you don't need it."
What's that cryptic bullshit even supposed to mean?

Who knows, it might actually work for all of us. So, next time you're in a grotty nightclub at 4am, drop a really mysterious line and see how you get on. You'll probably look like a murderer though.
