A choir director got the greatest send off as her schoolchildren sang to her just minutes before she lost her battle with cancer, KHOU reports.
Mariane Walker was the choir
director at Alvin Junior High School in Texas for many years, relinquishing her position because cancer
took hold of her. The children came to sing 'Hillsong's
Oceans' to her as she spent her last moments in her home.
Here is the poignant and beautiful moment.

Laura Sammons, friends with Mariane said: "They had this beautiful song to sing for her. We opened the doors and just let the sound float in there."
Minutes later, Mariane's battle was over and she passed away.
She was an inspirational teacher, receiving acclaim from her students: "She would take the shirt off her back for you at any time," said Denim Fields.
A memorial scholarship has been set up in her name at the school. If you wish to donate, please click here.
