Man With No Arse Crack Answers All The Questions You Wanted To Know

How is this even possible?

It's a well established fact that we all have an arse crack, whether it's hairy, sweaty, or a mixture of the two. That, and our anus and sphincter, mean we can defecate to our heart's desire, only occasionally shitting when we're not supposed to. Apart from Kim Jong-un, of course. He doesn't shit at all.

This man, however, doesn't have an arse crack. Seriously!

Yes, someone at Reddit decided to organise an AMA with the man with no crack. You're probably very confused right now, and so you should be. He does have an anus, though.

Here he explains why he doesn't have one....

"This happened because of severe pilonidal cysts. I've had multiple surgeries on it and instead of the usual procedure which involves letting it heal, mine was so bad that a plastic surgeon had to close it up. But they keep coming back, and it'll probably just get worse as I age. To answer a couple questions: my butthole looks the same as anyone else's! The wound just goes very close to it. Trust me, you don't want to see it. Second, I poop like anyone else. Just gotta be careful with wiping so I don't get faeces in the wound. But it isn't hard after having to do it for eight years now."

What you see below is a dimple on his back and below that, the scar he was talking about close to his arse which he needs to desperately keep shit out of. As you can imagine, he wasn't too keen on sharing his actual butthole for the whole Internet to see, so you're going to have to be content with this.

It's pretty clear he has no butt crack, though.

A polonidal cyst can also be called a pilonidal abscess, pilonidal sinus or sacrococcygeal fistula. It is an abscess or cyst near the arse crack that tends to contain hair and skin debris.

The NHS describes it as thus...

A pilonidal sinus is a small hole or 'tunnel' in the skin. It usually develops in the cleft of the buttocks where the buttocks separate.

More than one hole may develop, and often these are linked by tunnels under the skin.

Most people associate the word sinus with the nose, but sinuses can occur anywhere in the body. Sinus is simply a medical term for a channel or cavity.

A pilonidal sinus will not usually cause any noticeable symptoms unless it becomes infected. This can cause a pus-filled abscess to develop. Signs that you may have an infection include pain, redness and swelling in the affected area.

See your GP as soon as possible if you think you have a pilonidal sinus. Without treatment, any pain and infection may get worse.

Basically, they're very, very nasty.
