Dating apps can be the most amazing place or hell on earth.
It could be the avenue where you find 'your person' or you could be bombarded with unsolicited images and messages from desperate or annoying people.
Karolina Getis was definitely in the latter camp and she is sick of spending hours on dating apps without finding her prince charming.

So, she decided to ditch the tech and hit the streets for a more old-fashioned approach.
The 29-year-old created a sign that said 'Looking For A Husband' and paraded it through New York City hoping she would find more luck than on her phone.
Incredibly, it actually worked.

"These things give me so much energy and people's reactions are always positive - I love doing it," she said.
"I do it to get out of my comfort zone - people were in shock on the street but always saying 'go girl, find your husband'.
"The funniest thing is when I am doing it, I'm usually I'm holding the sign and I don't see the reactions until my videographer shows me the reactions and they're so funny.
"One guy at the end saw the sign and came and picked me up - I'm now in touch with him and we're chatting with each other - we'll see what happens in the future.

She decided to use this tactic to find a man after pulling a similar stunt for a much more niche cause.
The model explained that her closet was looking a little empty so she created a sign that said she 'needed money for Chanel'.

It was a bold move considering the cost of living crisis and yet people were receptive to the idea.
Regardless, Ms Getis had fun with the stunt.
"That was my favourite one," she said.
"We went outside the Chanel store and this guy came up to me and was going to give me the money for it.

"Some people actually came and gave me money for it.
"If you ask correctly, everything will come to you and if you need something just make a sign.
"I'm using the money to save for Chanel and a Birkin bag."
