A 14-year-old girl has been accused of riding her bike over to her brother's girlfriend's house, beating her and slitting her throat in an attempted murder.

Kali J. Bookey of New Richmond, Wisconsin, allegedly said she was a 'psychopath looking to make her first kill' and that she was 'probably going to kill again' as she beat her victim.

She left her home at 4am and rode her bike 11 miles to her victim's home. She arrived at around 6:30am and managed to enter the property through an unlocked sliding glass door. According to reports, she then went into the girl's bedroom and attempted to suffocate her.

She then engaged the 15-year-old victim in a prolonged attack where she hit her '20 or 30 times' and cut her on her face and neck around four times. Several hours into the attack, Bookey asked the girl if she'd like to 'die right now' or 'bleed out'. The girl chose to 'bleed out'.

Weirdly, as Bookey was leaving, she allegedly told the girl that she was a 'psychopath who was looking to make her first kill', she was 'probably going to kill again' and finally told her victim to 'have a nice afterlife'.

Luckily, the victim survived. However, she is still recovering in hospital from her 'very serious' injuries.

When she was approached by police, Bookey claimed that she'd been riding her bike when she was approached by two masked men. To 'ward them off' she 'told them where her victim lived'.

When she was attacking her brother's girlfriend, she made her record some voice notes to support the 'masked men' lie.

Eventually, Bookey admitted that it was all a lie and that she had grown to hate the victim after she saw how happy she made her brother.

She then added that she didn't intend to kill the victim, just to scare her enough so that she'd leave her brother alone.

However Scott Knudson, chief deputy for the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office, said: "If we didn't find her when we did, I think there was the potential for them [the injuries] to be fatal."

The MailOnline reported that the victim's boyfriend wrote on Facebook: "She [girlfriend] is very calm, and she is not at all shaken by it, just shocked my sister would do it.

"She says she loves her scars because they look cool, and she's only upset that her favourite dress got ruined."

Bookey will appear in court for a preliminary hearing on August 8.
