Captain Tom Moore's daughter 'was paid thousands via family company for charity appearances'.
The Brit attracted international attention back in the first coronavirus lockdown in 2020 for walking 100 laps of his back garden ahead of his 100th birthday.
He went on to raise nearly £39 million for the NHS Charities Together, was knighted and had a Captain Tom Foundation set up in his name by his daughter before he passed away in early 2021.
The foundation pledged to support four charities chosen by Captain Tom and his family which included The Royal British Legion, Mind, Helen & Douglas House, and Willen Hospice.

Since his death, however, the foundation has been caught up in a whole bunch of controversy with the latest reports revealing Capt Tom's daughter, Hannah Ingram-Moore, was paid thousands of pounds via her family company for appearances in connection with her late father's charity.
Her fee was paid not to the Foundation but to her family company, Maytrix Group, a company owned by Ms Ingram-Moore and her husband, Colin, instead.
At the time, Ingram-Moore was the charity’s interim chief executive on an annual salary of a whopping £85,000.
During 2021 and 2022, Ingram-Moore helped judge the Virgin Media O2 Captain Tom Foundation Connector Awards.

BBC Newsnight has since reported that she did not seek approval from the Captain Tom Foundation’s board before entering into the commerical arrangement with Virgin Media O2.
A spokesperson for the charity trustees said: "The Captain Tom Foundation is aware of the commercial arrangements made by Hannah Ingram-Moore with Virgin Media O2 in respect of the 'Virgin Media Captain Tom Foundation Connector Awards'.
"This matter is subject of an ongoing internal investigation. The Charity Commission has been notified of the Foundation’s review of this matter and the Foundation will share its findings once the investigation has concluded."

A Charity Commission spokesperson said: "Our inquiry into the Captain Tom Foundation remains ongoing.
"Its scope includes examining whether the trustees have adequately managed conflicts of interest, including with private companies connected to the Ingram-Moore family.”
A Virgin Media spokesperson said: "We worked directly with the late Sir Captain Tom to recognise community groups and charities that went above and beyond during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"When payment was made, we were not aware of any concerns about Ms Ingram-Moore’s family companies or the Captain Tom Foundation that have since come to light after our campaign and relationship with Captain Tom finished."

Ingram-Moore no longer runs the charity, however her husband still remains a trustee.
Just last month, the Captain Tom charity stopped taking donations as Ingram-Moore was ordered to tear down an unapproved home spa.
