Tinder is launching a new exclusive subscription that costs $499 per month

If you're sick of the endless swiping on Tinder, listen up.

The dating platform is launching a new, exclusive subscription service that is invite-only.

Tinder is dipping its toes into a new arena to battle the likes of Raya and host the 1 per cent of the globe.

For the low, low price of $499 per month, you could get access to Tinder Select (that is if you get invited).

But it's not for just any Tom, Dick or Harry.

Bloomberg says it will be offered to Tinder's most active users and they will be able to message people they’ve not matched with.

Tinder’s chief product officer, Mark Van Ryswyk, said in a statement: "We know that there is a subset of highly engaged and active users who prioritize more effective and efficient ways to find connections.

“So we engaged in extensive tests and feedback with this audience over the past several months to develop a completely new offering.”

Tinder will be rolling out the invites over the coming months.

If you're one of the lucky people who get invited to Tinder Select, you'll have to pass their five-point screening system'.

Your profile picture has to be verified, you have to have four additional photos on your account, a biography, at least five interests listed, and what you're looking for on the app.

Successful applicants will get a cute Select badge on their profile picture, however you can hide that if you don't want others knowing you're forking out a cool $499 every month to swipe left or right.

Match Group owns Tinder and company president Gary Swidler said they know Select will only net them a few subscribers.

However, when they're paying hundreds per month, that should reflect well on their revenue targets.

Non-Select users are able to opt-out of feature that will allow them to get a message from someone they haven't matched with.

In addition to that feature Tinder Select will also offer 'increased visibility' of your profile to others.

It will be interesting to see how many people sign up to the new system and whether they will stick to lower tiered pricing systems.

The lowest starts at $24.99 and still comes with some pretty good options.
