For real.

On Saturday, gymnast Samir Ait Said broke his leg when jumping from the vault, not only obviously finishing his Olympic dream but also suffering potentially career-ending injuries.

He was clearly in shock, but when he was stretchered off, with his leg coming out at some horrific angle, he even managed to wave to the crowd. What a legend!

Since then, the medical staff dropped him putting him in the ambulance and he has since put a picture of himself on Facebook smiling and being upbeat about his current predicament.

But it gets better than him just being in a positive mood. These snaps show him up and walking!

Close to a Zimmer frame, the Olympic hero has managed to defy all odds and get back on his feet just two days after his horrendous breakage.

Absolutely fantastic news. When the world wished him to get well soon, surely no-one expected this level of recovery so soon after?

Despite everything, he still remains adamant that he'll be Tokyo competing in four years' time.

"Believe me the adventure of Tokyo 2020 is still possible. And as soon as I'm back on my feet I'll be back in training and searching for that Olympic gold."

I don't need to remind you what his leg looked like when he pretty much snapped it.

This is a story that has made my day.

Let's hope the rest of your recovery is this swift Samir!
