Gareth Bale is being guarded by armed cops because a case containing cash, cocaine and watches worth £1 million has vanished, along with his fiancee's glamour model cousin. No, really.
Apparently, his family in Wales had their cars torched by a drugs gang last night.
According to The Sun, three armed guards have been sent to stand outside his room of the Gran Canaria's Santa Catalina hotel, where he is with his Real Madrid teammates.

The Welsh player, who plays as a winger for Real Madrid, and formerly Tottenham Hotspur, is staying there at the moment.
The woman in question, Epiphany Dring, 27, was last seen by her family five weeks ago and she reportedly took the suitcase. Her cousin, Emma-Rhys Jones, is allegedly petrified.
This is Epiphany, who is a former glamour model.

A source told the paper: "When the players arrived there was a lot of police as fans were desperate to meet them.
"But when we went to our rooms we were stunned when we got to the third floor.
"There were three armed police posted outside the rooms, obviously there to make sure there were no unwanted visitors.
"It was pretty extreme for such a luxury hotel, renowned for its old-fashioned charm."
