Bahamas sprinter Shaunae Miller took absolutely no prisoners last night when she dove over the finish line in the women's 400m to win gold.

The 22-year-old beat USA's Allyson Felix who looked well on course to secure her fifth gold medal before Miller's astonishing bellyflop.

Her torso crossed the finish line at 49.44 seconds, seven hundredths of a second before Felix's 49.51.

"The only thing I was thinking was the gold medal and the next thing I know I was on the ground," Miller, 22, said. "It was just a reaction."

She added: "I've never done it before. I have cuts and bruises, a few burns."

Naturally, Miller's dive has now spawned a load of incredible memes...
