The president of the Philippines' crackdown on drugs has resulted in the deaths of almost 4,000 people since he came to power on June 30.
So far there has been over 3,800 deaths since Rodrigo Duterte became president and it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon.
The number of deaths and the strange circumstances surrounding them has resulted in the US, UN and the Catholic church speaking out, but Duterte has allegedly said he will 'break up' with the US and told Obama to 'go to Hell'.

Duterte has previously spoken about the country's drug problem; claiming that 3.7 million Filipinos have become addicted to methamphetamine.
Locals claim that Duterte has encouraged citizens to take action themselves, which has led to vigilante and police killing. On average, 36 people have died every day during his first 100 days in office.
Despite the eye-watering number of deaths, Duterte is still a pretty popular president with eight out of ten Filipinos saying they are 'satisfied' with his crackdown on drugs.

The president has, for some reason, compared himself to Hitler. No, I'm not sure why he would do that either.
In a speech he said: "Hitler massacred three million Jews, now, there is three million drug addicts. I'd be happy to slaughter them." (Those former figures aren't correct, by the way).
According to the BBC, he then went on to say: "At least if Germany had Hitler, the Philippines would have..." and then he pointed at himself.
