New Zealand's South Island has been hit by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake.
The quake hit just after midnight (11:02 GMT on Sunday) and tremors were felt across a large area, including Christchurch.
The incident occurred 59 miles from Christchurch, which is still recovering from the 2011 earthquake that killed 185 people and flattened much of the city centre.
