A 13-year-old lad committed suicide after he was relentlessly bullied at his school in New York.

Daniel Fitzpatrick's final note has been shared by a relative on Facebook to warn others about the effects of bullying after he tragically hanged himself.

He was found by one of his older sisters at the family home.

The note outlines the bullying he was subjected to and how he felt as a result. You can read the note below, however some names have been redacted by TheLADbible for moral reasons.

It reads: "I am writing this letter to tell about my experience in Holy Angels Catholic Academy.

"At first it was good lots of friends, good grades and great life but I moved and went back but it was different. My old friends changed they didn't talk to me they didn't even like me. 6th grade comes [redacted] my "friend" he failed and I failed too. But [redacted] took it out on me. He bullied me along with [redacted]. They did it constantly until I went into a fight with [redacted] everyone stopped except [redacted] he was angry. I ended getting x-rays for my pinkie from [redacted]. I ended up fighting [redacted] and got a fractured pinkie. He got into a lot of trouble as for me, no trouble at all. But they continued, I gave up the teachers either they didn't do ANYTHING!

"Not getting them in trouble even though they did trouble, I got in trouble instead. [Redacted] was mad at me because he believed I failed him. Mrs. [redacted] didn't do anything. I told all the teachers nothing except one, Ms. [redacted]. She was the nicest teacher ever she understood and did something but it didn't last long.

"I wanted to get out, I begged and pleaded, eventually I did get I failed but I didn't care. I was out that's all I wanted. [sic]"

Danny wrote the note two weeks prior to his death as he was desperate to start at a new school at the beginning of the new school year.

His mother spoke to New York Daily News (NYDN) about her son and the school he attended: "Danny said that he was afraid of his teachers. He felt like the whole school knew what was going on and was laughing behind his back. They humiliated him.

"My son shouldn't have to die to be heard. There's something wrong with the adults in authority positions when kids can't go to them for help.

"No parent is supposed to bury their child."

RIP Danny.
