The world is in mourning after Jerry Stiller died at the age of 92.

The Hollywood actor, known for his roles on Seinfeld and King of Queens, died of natural causes.

The sad news was confirmed by Jerry's son, Ben, who said on social media: "I'm sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes.

"He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad."

Tributes have been pouring in from Jerry's co-stars and fans who absolutely loved his work.

It didn't take long for some of the cast from Seinfeld to pay their respects to George Costanza's rambunctious father, Frank, who just wanted to go to Del Boca Vista as well as celebrate Festivus.

Jason Alexander, who played George, Frank's son, posted a photo of the two of them saying that he absolutely loved him.

"Such sad news that my beloved friend, Jerry Stiller, has passed," he added. "He was perhaps the kindest man I ever had the honor to work beside. He made me laugh when I was a child and every day I was with him. A great actor, a great man, a lovely friend."

Jerry Seinfeld added his name to the massive list of tributes, saying that 'Jerry Stiller's comedy will live forever'.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who played Elaine Benes, posted a blooper reel of a scene she shared with Jerry.

She said: "The truth is that this happened all the time with Jerry Stiller. He was so funny and such a dear human being. We loved him. RIP Jerry Stiller."

Jerry Stiller and his wife Anne Meara paired up to form comedy duo known as Stiller and Meara in the 1960s and 70s - becoming the number one couple of comedy.

They were married for 62 years before Anne passed away in 2015.

He appeared in a number of films such as The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, Nasty Habits and Hairspray before going on to feature in Ben Stiller's films Zoolander, Zoolander 2 and The Heartbreak Kid.

Jerry will be sorely missed.
