Not long back the fight between Evangelista Santos and Michael Paige at Bellator 158 grabbed everyone's attention.
At first it was because Paige celebrated his win over Santos by putting on a cap similar to that of Ash Ketchum's, and then throwing a Pokéball at his downed opponent.
Following the hilarity of the situation however, more focus turned towards Paige's outrageously brutal knee to Santos' head - or rather the injury that it caused.

The injuries to Santos' face were grim to see, and now, a considerable time later, it's still not looking all that great.
Evangelista shared pictures of the scars on his head, after undergoing surgery on his fractured skull.

Speaking to MMA Fighting, Santos said: "I had surgery yesterday, and thank God everything went fine.

"It lasted seven hours, and the hospital will give Bellator a full report later today. God guided the doctors in this surgery so everything went well."
Is anyone else just feeling hurt looking at those scars? He's certainly a fucking trooper.
The best of luck to Evangelista for what will hopefully be a quick recovery.
