What a man.

There's a lot that goes on in the celebrity world that you might not expect.

It seems silly, given that they are normal people, but you just think that their lives are just filled with diamond covered shoes, champagne, big houses and absolutely no troubles whatsoever. No funny business - wake up, be famous, go to sleep.

But it's not like that at all, of course. And despite what we may think of them after judging them from a split second meeting, that's usually not the case.

Jamie Foxx, for example, is a stellar example of being a great bloke.

He's done his duty to action, comedy and music over the years, but also did a truly selfless deed for fellow creative man Ed Sheeran.

Many Sheeran followers will know how he slummed it on other people's couches with a bag of clothes, trudging from gig to gig to get where he is today, and according to Foxx, his sofa was one of the places the ginger songwriter stayed.

"I had Ed Sheeran sleep on my couch for six weeks," Foxx told ET Online, while talking about upcoming stars. "Before he made it, he came to my crib.

"So did Anthony Hamilton, Nick Cannon, all these [people]. You gotta press anybody that's got that artistic feel, that touch, you've got to lift them up."

Fair play to him - it would be very easy just to tell him to sling it.

That's just a small part of what's helped the global superstar to reach the heights he's reached so far.

But you can forget the singles, the albums, the number ones, the film cameos, the music videos and the TV appearances. There's one thing that stands apart from the rest.

He's got a pub under his gaff. The dream?

"I've built a pub. Like, I had a bar before, a bar where you could pour beers but now this has like a selection of beers, which is cool," he told Apple Music's Zane Lowe.

"So, basically, there's an underground tunnel to get there that you can close off. So, if I have a party, everyone goes in the pub and no one can get in the house so you get no one raiding the cupboards or smashing anything. You have to go underground to get to the pub."

Imagine having your own pub. Under your house. Christ.
