If you're already thinking of possible destinations for your holiday next year then there's a spot you'll want to add to your list.
One of the biggest problems people have when going abroad is all of the other people who've inconsiderately decided to travel to the same place at the same time.
The flights are packed, the beaches are full, you can't get a table for dinner because they're all taken and you spend your holiday waiting in a queue behind other tourists while the sun scorches your skin off.

Some places that normally welcome tourists are so sick of the hordes descending upon them for the holiday season that they're even taking measures to keep people away.
One Spanish resort town has banned the construction of new hotels, while Amsterdam is trying to keep British tourists away as we're less than ideally behaved when abroad.
However, one woman is recommending to people that their next holiday destination be a tiny island where she 'didn't see any other travellers the whole time'.

TikToker Emilia Jane showed off her trip to the Indonesian island of Maratua, which is home to almost 3,000 people and is a bit of an undiscovered gem as far as holiday plans go.
Emilia said the island 'quickly became one of my favourite places on Earth', with her video showing of crystal clear seas and beautiful natural parts of the world which seemed relatively unspoiled by tourists.
However, there's a pretty good reason for that as the TikToker explained that it took 'four days of travel' to make it over to Maratua from Malaysian Borneo.
Journeys by boat and plane got her to the island, which she said was 'literally paradise' as well as being the 'turtle capital of Indonesia', so if you really like turtles start packing your bags.
During her time on the island she was able to swim with plenty of turtles, some giant manta rays and even a few stingless jellyfish.

She also found a stunning pool of water in a cave which was light and clear enough to see down to the bottom of the rocky formation.
Another plus to all of these swimmable bodies of water is the lack of sharks, so you won't be gobbled up by Jaws just for wanting to swim in peace.
The TikToker did note that Maratua was 'not for everyone' as getting there took a long time and it could be expensive as getting supplies there was tricky.

According to Emilia, it would cost you about £50 a night to stay on the island and the food selection wasn't great, but is that really going to stop you when such beautiful sights are there to be seen?
