St. Patrick's Day weekend is finally here, and I don't know about you but I fancy a Guinness.
A lot of people are going to be sinking the sweet nectar over the coming days, with a whopping 13 million pints of Guinness being sold on 17 March alone.
But with pints not as cheap as they use to be, a lot of us will be unable to sink many before noticing a hit on the bank account.

Thankfully, we have Wetherspoons in the UK - a boozer known for its cheap pints and grub.
Well, to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the pub chain is selling Irish favourites Guinness, Baby Guinness, Jameson and Budweiser at a discounted price.
From Friday (15 March) to Sunday (17 March), these tipples will be sold at the steal price of £2.99, while the guest ale for the St. Paddy's Day event, Lough Gill Andersons Irish Red Ale, will set punters back £1.99.

While we all know what we are going to get with Guinness on draught (please don't mention what it tastes like in cans), the special ale of the weekend is a little less known.
Lough Gill Andersons Irish Red Ale is a ruby-red ale which Spoons describes as having a 'light, fruity nose, smooth body and flavours of mild caramel and toasted malt'.
And one place you can try the ale and all the other Irish drinks at a discounted price this weekend is at Wetherspoons' first holiday park pub at Haven.
The holiday company runs 38 holiday parks across the UK and Wetherspoons recently signed an 'exclusive agreement' with them to run pubs there.

Primrose Valley in Yorkshire became the first holiday park to get a Spoons earlier this month.
The first one to open has space for 250 people and has to fight for footfall with Slim Chickens, Papa Johns and Burger King.
In a statement announcing the new partnership, Haven said: “The first Wetherspoon pub will open at Haven Primrose Valley Holiday Park in North Yorkshire, with the first pint to be pulled in March ahead of what is expected to be a busy summer.”

There are plans to open up more Wetherspoons pubs in more holiday parks, but further expansion plans are being kept under wraps for now.
As for this weekend's Guinness, airport branch NEC Birmingham and Republic of Ireland pubs are excluded from the St. Paddy's Day offer.
