Have you ever realised how much people at U.S sporting events (preferably indoor) seem to be having a brilliant time? Over here, if you're the target of a TV editor's audience shot, there's a good chance you'll be either biting your nails, screaming 'TALK TO EACH OTHER' at the players, or just generally having a terrible, underwhelming time. That's just how the Premier League works.
Fair enough, if it's The Ashes you may be making a beer snake longer than Nicki Minaj's anaconda and taking little to no interest in the match, but for other sports, even lawn bowls, there's high tension and sadness.
Obviously, American sports fans don't lend these anxieties. Exhibit A: the 'Lion King Cam'.

A newfangled take on the kiss-cam, this new idea allows parents to hoist their little loved-ones up in the air the way Rafiki did with Simba in 1994 Disney smash, The Lion King.

I guess our first problem is that we don't tend to take babies to football or rugby matches. Yet maybe that's for the best.
So what else can we do at our matches when the camera pans, other than the obligatory wave?

Perhaps we have a pie off? Dance off?
Bugger that, just flip the bird. That's what makes us British.
