A common gripe among cinema-goers is how much shite Hollywood churns out.

We watch a film and think 'Fucking hell, I could do better than this' - like a lot of you do when reading my online content. When it comes to art, we sometimes say 'it looks like a kid's done this!'

Well, you can now say that legitimately following the news that former Hollywood studio president Adam Goodman's four-year-old son has been involved in the pre-production phase of the film Monster Trucks.

Aptly titled, Monster Trucks concerns monster trucks which have actual monsters in them.

Novel idea? Newfangled? 'Now'? Maybe, but the film's cost the suits in charge an absolute bomb.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Viacom, Paramount's parent company, has had to go over its earnings-per-share expectations and account for, "a programming impairment charge of $115 million in its filmed entertainment segment in its fiscal fourth quarter related to the expected performance of an unreleased film."

Slate has claimed that Goodman has left Paramount following the ordeal. Monster Trucks hasn't even been released yet. It's opening was meant to be last summer.

As it stands, the film is set to hit UK cinemas 3 February, 2017.
