Popular YouTubers Show They Have A Pretty Weak Sense Of Humour, World Erupts

It's all about a blue tick by the looks of it.

In this day and age where comedy comes in many guises, popular social media user @pewpiedie let the world know that he and fellow Twitter social mediaite @Jack-Septic-Eye have followed ISIS, which has led to both of them having their little blue tick removed by Twitter.

Although not particularly funny at all and a bit of an in-joke, thousands basked in the banter and liked and retweeted the 'revelation'.

@pewdiepie, real name Felix Kjellberg, and @Jack_Septic_Eye, known in the real world as Seán William McLoughlin, an 'Internet personality', must have concocted the spoof joke after a Margarita or two.

So Kjellberg, from Sweden, who has amassed over 46 million people on his YouTube channel with his mildly amusing videos, is presumably narked that Twitter has not given his name a blue tick, which would make him the bloody bomb! Or perhaps he was verified and now isn't. Answers on a postcard/in the comments please.

McLoughlin actually is verified, however. Banter's through the roof here.

Obviously, because the joke is tactless, some people have decided it's not funny at all.

I would go into some of the other conspiracies on the Internet, such as the idea that it is some kind of cry for help by Kjellberg, but they're a load of absolute bollocks and it's too early in the morning.

He's clearly looking for publicity and, in that respect, I must say well played.
