Before his untimely death, Angus Cloud revealed that he never intended to be famous.
The star's family announced his death on Monday (31 July).

In a statement, they wrote: “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today.
“As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.
“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss.
“The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”

The statement continued: “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.
“We hope the world remembers him for his humour, laughter and love for everyone.
“We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
The 25-year-old rose to fame playing Fezco in the HBO drama Euphoria, however, he claimed he had no ambitions of becoming a celebrity.
Cloud had been living in Brooklyn when he was stopped by a talent scout who was eager to cast him.

While most people dream of becoming famous, Cloud wasn’t so thrilled when he was asked to audition.
In fact, he nearly turned down the opportunity as he worried that the casting director was scamming him.
“I definitely thought it could be some kind of scam,” he told i-D earlier this year, joking: “But I ended up getting the agent’s phone number because she seemed real legit.”
However, his nerves weren’t exactly calmed by the fact that the scout also asked for his mate’s details - who flatly refused to come, calling the audition ‘bull****’.

Thankfully, Cloud did attend the audition and later discovered the production team wanted to cast him as troubled drug dealer, Fezco.
Reflecting on his sudden fame, Cloud said this is what set him apart from his co-stars.
He explained: “The difference between me and everyone else who's famous it's that they were trying to go get famous, for the most part. They were working hard, and they were like, ‘I'm going to make it to the top’.”
The actor added: “For me, it was just like too good of an opportunity to say no to. I had no idea it would go this far.”

Sadly though, his time on the iconic HBO series would be cut short.
Many of Euphoria's cast and crew have since paid tribute to the late actor.
Series creator Sam Levinson shared a statement, saying: “There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented and way too young to leave us so soon.
"I hope he knew how many hearts he touched. I loved him. I always will. Rest in peace and God Bless his family.”
Others, including his former co-stars Alexa Demie and Javon Walton, have shared touching tributes on social media.
