Marvel fans spot ‘amazing’ easter egg as first trailer for Deadpool 3 is released

Marvel fans spot ‘amazing’ easter egg as first trailer for Deadpool 3 is released

Fans think that they've spotted an easter egg in the Deadpool 3 trailer

The time has finally come for all you Deadpool fans as the trailer for the upcoming third film has finally been released.

Deadpool & Wolverine is set to be released on 26 July 2024, and will star the one and only Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and of course, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.

If you haven't seen the trailer, watch it here:

For those of you who weren't watching last night's event for the sports, you would have been treated to a lot of what the Super Bowl has to offer.

From 'expensive' adverts to Spongebob's brutal jokes, it was a night full of things to make the public go wild - in and out of the stadium.

And that's without mentioning the half-time show by Usher and the famous game-long 'Taylor cam'.

But there's also something else that attracts a lot of attention - movie trailers.

And what better movie to be given a release date and trailer than the third Deadpool instalment.

Who cares about the Kansas City Chiefs and Travis Kelce, am I right?

Ryan Reynolds will return as Deadpool on 26 July.
Marvel

The trailer was action-packed, with the titular character jokingly calling himself 'Marvel Jesus' as he arrives guns-blazing into the MCU.

Prior to the trailer, fans were excited at the prospect of Deadpool and Wolverine finally linking up after Disney bought over 20th Century Fox in 2019.

In an ode to this, fans were quick to spot an 'amazing' easter egg in the trailer and took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their findings.

Deadpool links up with Wolverine in the third instalment of the superhero franchise.
Disney

One posted: "I noticed in the trailer where Deadpool is fighting in the snow you could see a destroyed 20th century Fox logo in the ground.

"Cannot wait for this."

Another said: "The fact that he's fighting around the ruins of the 20th Century

Fox logo is amazing.."

A third put: "Anybody notice the 20th century fox logo" followed by a skull emoji.

A different user posted: "Curious if anyone else noticed the 20th Century Fox logo behind Deadpool in this scene??"

While a final said: "the destroyed 20th century fox logo???"

Fans were tickled when they noticed the 20th Century Fox logo in the background.
Marvel

In typical Deadpool fashion, they have acknowledged the fact that 20th Century Fox is no more as it has been renamed to 20th Century Studios since being acquired by Disney.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

And with blatant fourth wall breaking like this, it reminds us just how much we missed our favourite red and black hero.

26 July couldn't come quick enough.
