Steven Avery broke his engagement off to his 53-year-old 'gold-digger' fiancé with a brutal letter.

Steven, who is serving a life sentence at Wisconsin's Waupun Correctional Institution for the murder of Teresa Halbach, got engaged after meeting the woman in person just one time.

The star of Netflix's Making a Murderer got engaged to legal secretary Lynn Hartman, but decided to end the relationship when he believed she was only in it for the money. But instead of doing the right thing and breaking it off with her face to face, Steven wrote her a seriously cold letter.

The note begins: "Please let this letter act as a formal notice that Mr Avery terminated his engagement with you effective October 2.

"As Mr. Avery expressed to you during your relationship with him, he deems his correspondence and communications with you to be confidential. This constitutes an oral agreement with him. You should therefore cease and desist giving interviews of any kind concerning your relationship with him."

He's also told her that she can't sell any of their correspondence, which is a shame, because I would love to see what kind of shit he says when he's trying to pull a woman.

I mean, I know face to face might be hard when you're locked away, but a phone call, surely would have been better? Savage.
