Series four of the BBC crime drama Peaky Blinders has finally reached its conclusion after six thrilling episodes. Needless to say that fans of the show were stunned by what took place.
'The Company' was the last episode of this tumultuous series which had already seen the death of John Shelby, one of the Peaky Blinders since the very beginning.
The BBC were certainly teasing fans in the run up by leaking a sneak peek of tonight's episode:
We had been promised an explosive episode as Luca Changretta's Mafia began closing in on the Shelby family to exact their revenge.

With the Peaky Blinders facing their possible end, Tommy and Alfie made it their mission to orchestrate a boxing match of epic proportions.
And people didn't go through the episode unscathed, as Arthur faced his apparent demise just twenty minutes into the episode:
People were shocked and devastated at Arthur's apparent death, particularly after the death of John earlier in the season.

Some viewers were so upset they said that Peaky Blinders was ruined now that the gang was two brothers down. Others were suspicious, saying there was no way the writers would try to get away with the same trick twice:
And lo and behold, the plot twist! Miraculously, it turned out that Arthur was still alive, and fans cheered as Tommy Shelby turned the tables on Changretta:
People seemed to be in universal praise for the writers of the show for their skill in the twist:
A TV show can be a very torturous thing as many viewers just found out, and fans will be delighted and horrified in equal measure that there's still a fifth series of Peaky Blinders to come.

Right after the episode finished with Tommy Shelby becoming an MP, the BBC announced that we can expect Series 5 in 2019.
What will lay in store for the Shelby family in two years' time? We'll just have to wait and see.
