Jason Mamoa made have only been in one series of Game of Thrones and not spoken too much, but boy did Khal Drogo make an impact.

You can't forget anyone who rips open a man's throat and pulls out his tongue through the hole. It was just so brutal.

And now he's starring in a new Netflix show called Frontiers and Jason promises that anyone who loved GoT will enjoy the show just as much - and maybe even more.

Is that even possible? I'm willing to try and find out.

Jason's new character Declan Harp is half-Irish and half Native American, and 100 percent badass - he's got his trademark long hair, a fierce expression and is that antlers on his jacket?
I'm willing to bet money on this guy ripping out someone's tongue at some point.

Frontiers is set in the 1700s and about the brutality of the fur trade - Jason wanted to be cast in The Revenant but now this is his chance to get covered in mud, fake blood and shoot some cowboys, all for some animal skins.

"I identified with this outcast thing, and I really loved it. I don't think a lot of people are calling me to play doctors and lawyers, which is fine with me. I can put a suit on, but I don't really like to," he told Esquire.

Jason has said that he had problems getting cast after appearing as Khal Drogo, because he never spoke any English in the role, only the made up Drothraki language, but that didn't stop him from landing role of a lifetime: Aquaman.

He actually got the Aquaman role five years ago - half a decade ago but has been keeping it secret for years! I don't think I could keep a secret that juicy for a week!

It's yet another role where he looks very menacing and violent. You probably don't need to speak much English to be Aquaman, just look good with a trident and be willing to wear a merman tail. Our first proper glimpse of Jason as Aquaman is in The Justice League trailer - it shows Batman trying to recruit Aquaman and getting beaten up by him. Pretty standard.

Take a look at the trailer here...

We have to wait until November for The Justice League, but if you've got Khal Drogo withdrawal symptoms, Frontiers is on Netflix now!
