Their kids have left a touching message to their mother.

Actor Warwick Davis' wife Samantha has sadly passed away, and her children have left her a touching tribute.

Known for his numerous roles in Harry Potter, Warwick Davis said that his wife, aged just 53, had a 'super-power' like presence in his life.

He told the BBC in a statement that he will 'miss her hugs' and that she has 'left a huge hole' in their lives as a family after passing away last month on 24 March.

After meeting on the set of TV series Willow in 1988, the two got married just three years later, going on to have a daughter named Annabelle and a son called Harrison, though their eldest son Lloyd died just nine-days-old in 1990.

Davis also stated that 'Sammy' was 'an ardent supporter' of everything he pursued in his career.

The 54-year-old also stated: "She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes,

"With her by my side, I was sure I could achieve anything, it was like having a super-power.

"Without Sammy, there would have been no Tenable quiz show, no Willow series."

He also confirmed that there would be no season three of Idiot Abroad despite initially agreeing to travel with Karl Pilkington for the long awaited instalment of the travel series.

Following her death, it was crystal clear how highly her children thought of her, with them leaving a heartfelt message in a statement to the BBC.

Annabelle and Harrison said: "Her love and happiness carried us through our whole lives. Mum is our best friend and we're honoured to have received a love like hers."

Davis previously stated that his wife's mobility had become impaired in the past few years, but she was always determined to not let it affect her life.

She also fell ill with sepsis in 2019, with it almost proving fatal during a family holiday.

Similar to her famous husband, Samantha featured in a number of TV series and films during her career, including as a goblin in 2010's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and 80s children's show Through the Dragon's Eye.

Alongside Warwick, in 2012 she also co-founded the charity Little People UK, which works to help people with dwarfism, and their families.

"She was passionate about helping people, without judgment. She had time for everyone and a genuine listening ear," Warwick said.
