Keanu Reeves seen playing catch with nine-year-old boy before concert

Keanu Reeves was spotted playing catch with a nine-year-old boy.

Ah, yet again, the A-lister has proven he’s truly a man of the people.

KHOU 11 reported that while the Matrix star was travelling in Houston for a concert with his band, he made a slight pit stop and made Elijah’s day.

Footage is currently circulating of Reeves playing catch with the Houston native in between signing autographs.

Elijah's grandmother, Annette Cruz, loves meeting celebrities and compared it to going ‘fishing’.

Over the past few years, the grandmother has met many A-listers, including Kevin Hart, Jeremy Renner and Post Malone.

So, she thought she’d try her luck again and go ‘fishing’ to spot the John Wick star as he arrived at the infamous House of Blues.

But, this time, her grandson shared a sweet moment with the actor.

“He like came out, and I didn’t expect his hair to be like a little white," said Caleb, Elijah's older brother.

"I knew his hair was long but I didn’t expect it to be white."

Before Elijah made the unusual request, Caleb asked him for his signature.

“And when I got his signature and my brother got his signature, I asked him if he could play catch with me," Elijah said.

“I asked him the first time and he kind of mumbled something. But I didn’t hear him so I asked him again and he said 'yeah come on let's go.'"

For the next 30 seconds, Elijah threw a football with the Parenthood actor, adding that he was nervous playing catch with a ‘famous superstar’.

The two brothers said it was a moment they’d remember forever.

It’s no secret Reeves has a reputation for being one of the nicest actors in Hollywood - from giving up his subway seat to buying motorcycles for crew members to taking a road trip with stranded fans - there’s not much he wouldn’t do.

His wholesome image has even branded him as the ‘internet’s boyfriend’.

Earlier this year, the 58-year-old made headlines after a fan proposed to him in the audience at an advanced screening of John Wick: Chapter 4.

During the conference, when Reeves revealed he kept Wick’s watch and wedding ring from the previous movies, one particularly brazen audience member shouted: “I’ll marry you!”

To which the action star replied: “Yeah, be careful what you wish for."

Oh, we’ve thought about this wholeheartedly, Keanu.
