Alec Baldwin slaps phone out of woman's hand after she asks 'why did you kill that lady’

Alec Baldwin slaps phone out of woman's hand after she asks 'why did you kill that lady’

A video on X shows the woman filming Baldwin in a coffee shop

Alec Baldwin appeared to slap a phone from a woman’s hand after she asked him why he ‘killed that lady’.

On 21 October 2021, on the film set for Rust, the actor’s prop gun fired a live round of ammunition. And tragically, the shot killed 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.

At the beginning of last year, he was charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, but these were dropped in April 2023 pending further investigation.

Earlier this year, on 19 January, Baldwin was charged again with the involuntary manslaughter of Hutchins. The Beetlejuice actor has pleaded not guilty, and a trial is scheduled for July.

While in a coffee shop in New York City in recent days, a woman began filming the 66-year-old, asking him to say ‘free Palestine’.

In a video shared to X, she then said to him: “Why did you kill that lady? You killed that lady and got no jail time.

“No jail time Alec. No jail time Alec. You’re putting innocent people in jail Alec Baldwin.”

The woman then continues to shout ‘free Palestine’, asking him to say it ‘one time’ in the promise she’ll ‘leave you alone’.

Baldwin then appears to be asking the staff for assistance, telling them to ‘call the police’ but she carries on calling him ‘a f**king criminal’.

The actor asks her to leave the shop as he ignores her. However, when the camera is very close to his face and he is asking staff to help him, the star seems to smack the woman’s phone from her hand.

The video was shared by 'Crackhead Barney & Friends' account, described as an 'anti-fascist interview show'.

She seems to not leave Baldwin alone when he repeatedly asks her to and doesn't appear to leave the shop when staff also ask her to leave.

The caption to the X video reads: "White devil Alec Baldwin attacked me. While I was trying to get coffee."

But a community note adds: "The person filming this video was not 'trying to get coffee'. They repeatedly and viciously harassed Alec Baldwin and refused to leave the establishment when asked to by the staff. There is also no evidence they were attacked."

Earlier this month, the armourer on Rust, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, received an 18-month prison sentence. She was previously found guilty of involuntary manslaughter following Hutchins' death.

LADbible has contacted Baldwin’s reps for comment.
