An ex-member of a polygamist cult has lifted the lid on how his life used to be in his incest-ridden family.
Explaining all in a YouTube video hosted by Amanda Rae, also a former cult member, Joe Robinson spoke at length about the chilling truth of his lie when he grew up as a part of the cult in Salt Lake City.
He was part of the Mormon cult, The Kingston Group, known as The Order, with his parents being half-siblings.

The cult practices polygamy, with members chillingly going through blood tests to see which family members they could marry and, well, consummate their marriage with.
Despite the fact that both Joe and Amanda had different fathers, due to their experiences in polygamous cults, they saw both of them having multiple wives.
Joe revealed that everyone in his family, all stemming from patriarch Daniel, who had 157 kids with 14 wives, were required to have a blood test to determine which extended family members they could pro-create with.

Truly disturbing stuff.
He explained: "I was at my mom's house, everyone lined up got their blood tested and then they left,
"[We were] like 'why are you doing this?'"
He said that they replied saying: "'So we can see who you can marry,'"

To add more disgust to the situation, he was just 10-years-old when this all took place, saying that they were 'open' about the situation with them.
Amanda said she doesn't recall going through the same thing, though attributed it to the fact that she might have been too young to remember, as her friends got tests - though she says that to her knowledge, her parents are not related.
The pair then answered a frequently asked question about children born through incest, to do with deformities.

It was particularly noticeable in Joe's family according to him, as not only were his parents half siblings, his father also married not one, but two, of his mother's sisters.
Amanda also recalled: "I saw like kids were born with missing ears and things like that, but it was kind of rare to really like see [more severe deformities],
"I feel like a lot of the people are like attractive."
Joe was aged 20 when he left the cult for good, questioning those in charge, who were neglecting the treatment of his mother's cancer, who passed away shortly before his departure.
Joe opened up on how his family would deal with rumours that they were weird: "My dad would [hear] rumors that we think it's weird,

"But then he like set up a meeting, [and he'd say] like this is always going to happen, you guys need to stop making fun of it.
"You know he's like standing up for himself because he married a sibling.
"My mom has two other sisters that he also married - they were all of the same family," he explained, as he didn't think it was weird while growing up.
"There was one crush I had in the Order, course it was my cousin," he told Amanda, as he couldn't really have a proper crush on anyone.
She followed up: "Because everyone you know is someone that you're related to.
"But see like same thing I had crushes and I didn't know I was related to them."
Amanda left the order in 2013 when she was 17-years-old, becoming her father's first child to leave.
