Best Buds Have Downed A Beer Together Every Day For The Last 1,000 Days

Every now and again, you find someone who you have so much in common with and just generally 'click'. You wonder how you ever lived without them. It's a rare thing, but it's really cool to experience when it happens. They just 'get' you.

Arguably the most special relationship in the world is the 'bromance'. I'm not even a bloke and I think that. Men will latch onto each other like limpets and never let go. Their bond is so strong that'd they'd rather die than dob the other one in. It's special.

Working at TheLADbible, I'm confronted with these 'bromances' pretty much every hour of every day. It's sweet.

Dimitri and Joe met in university (or 'college' as they're American) and decided that they were going to 'shotgun a beer' (basically, down it from the bottom) every day until St. Patrick's Day. It was only a week. But once they'd completed their challenge, they realised that it made their bromance shine brightly like a beacon across the whole of the University of Dayton. So they decided to do it every, single day.

They're rapidly approaching their 1,000th day, and to mark the occasion they're having a massive party. It's taking place on 3rd December and I imagine that the hangover beer they have to down the day after is going to be fucking disgusting.

So, you may be wondering, if they've been doing this for nearly three years - surely there must be days that they've not been together?

Fear not, my friend. Facetime has meant that they've never had to miss a day. The only time they had real difficulty was when Joe was in an emergency room overnight and they had to smuggle a beer in.

Hot much longer can this possibly go on for, though?! Speaking to BroBible, Dimitri said: "Unless we die at the Day 1000 Shotgunpalooza, the streak will go on.

"It's become such a routine thing for us day in and day out, that it would be weird if we DIDN'T shotgun. We have too many aspirations for Day 10,000 in 26-or-so years down the road that we simply can't stop anytime soon."

This is true bruv-luv.
