UFC President Dana White has confirmed that he'd love to see Conor McGregor renew hostilities with Khabib Nurmagomedov for a rematch that would likely be the most lucrative fight that the organisation has ever seen.
Speaking after McGregor made a triumphant return to the Octagon after a 15 month break, knocking Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone out after just 40 seconds, White said that he'd love to see 'The Notorious' given a chance to avenge his submission loss to Khabib in 2018.

Conor has a few options now, especially after Floyd Mayweather posted online suggesting that a second fight between himself and McGregor might be possible as well.
But - for obvious reasons - UFC supremo White wants to see a second Nurmagomedov fight made as it would be 'the biggest fight in the sport's history'.
In the aftermath of UFC 246 in Las Vegas, White said: "Conor McGregor looked ridiculous.
"Nobody saw that coming, nobody. I was blown away.
"Going into the Khabib fight, Conor had a lot of personal stuff, some stuff self-inflicted. He had injuries. He has been obsessed with getting that rematch because he knows that he wasn't 100 percent right.
"With how Khabib won the first fight and how famous he's become, we're looking at [Marvin] Hagler vs. [Thomas] Hearns, we're looking at [Muhammad] Ali vs. [George] Foreman, Ali vs. [Joe] Frazier.
"This is a massive fight with global appeal. It's the fight that you make. It's the fight that makes sense. Khabib versus Conor is the biggest fight in the sport's history."
In the process of beating Cerrone, McGregor became the first fighter to knock opponents out in three weight classes and reinforced his status as one of the most feared and respected fighters in the game.
With this latest victory, it seems as if McGregor is just happy to be back in the Octagon after a dalliance with boxing saw him beaten by Floyd Mayweather, and personal problems saw him in trouble with the law and announce his retirement.
He's now made a different kind of announcement to the rest of the UFC.
In his post-fight interview, the Irishman said: "It's [the Khabib rematch] not the be all and end all.
"I'll focus on my skills and my training and then carry on.
"The 'who' does not matter, the division does not matter. It's just a case of keeping myself in shape and focused, and I'll take it as it comes. I felt energetic, fresh. I wanted to be in there."
However, he's obviously keen to run back the rivalry with Nurmagomedov, who remains unbeaten after 28 fights, the longest active streak in MMA.
Conor continued: "That rematch will happen.
"Look at the shape I was in in this camp compared with the last. It's non-comparable."
Khabib fights Tony Ferguson at UFC 249, but - after that - if everyone's happy, the fight could be made.
It'd certainly be an attractive bout, but we'll have to wait and see.
