Here's a story to melt your heart - a dog who was abandoned because of the way she looks has now found a new home.

Jubilee's story went viral around the world last year after the shelter she was staying in posted it to social media - the husky had been abandoned two years ago because her breeder thought she was 'weird' looking.

Earlier this month, Husky House posted on Facebook from Jubilee's perspective, writing: "My name is Jubilee. I'm a four-year-old female husky who has been with Husky House for a long time. I came from a 'breeder' who couldn't sell me because he said I was 'weird' looking.

"Huskies are majestic looking dogs and I don't know why I don't look like them. I wish I was beautiful so someone would want me to be their dog.

"I like other dogs, but I don't like cats. I love people, but I'm a little shy because people mostly laugh at the way I look. Doesn't anyone want a funny looking husky? I wish I had a family of my own who could love me even though I'm not pretty."

According to CNN, the dog suffered from an eyelid deformity that made it look like she was always surprised.

Fortunately for Jubilee, it seems there was someone out there who was more than happy to love her, as Husky House has found her a forever home.

Updating the original Facebook post, the shelter wrote: "Thanks to everyone who shared Jubilee's story. She has found her forever home with previous Husky House adopters and joins her new fur-siblings in a wonderful new life!"

A spokesperson for the shelter told CNN: "Since the original Facebook post went viral, we received an overwhelming amount of love, support, and inquiries, including adoption requests. We are so happy to see that everyone feels she is as wonderful as we always knew she was."

So if you were hoping on take this fur baby home, sadly you'll have to wait until another one pops up.

The world similarly fell in love with another dog last week when her adoption story was posted on Facebook.

The Labrador, called Dumpling, was abandoned at 10 years old and was looking for a forever home in Australia.

Labrador Rescue posted an ad on its Facebook page, pretending to be Dumpling, saying: "I didn't have the best start to life but since joining Labrador Rescue my life has turned around. Unfortunately I was dumped at the pound at 10 years old, blind, overweight and alone. I had some puppies over the years and I guess my old owners didn't need me anymore.

"Since being in care I have lost over 13 kg so I would like a new family to help me stay on this weight loss journey (although I really don't have much more weight to lose). As I am now older I find that small frequent walks are perfect for me."

Thankfully for Dumpling, someone stepped up and agreed to give her a new home.
