If you're anything like me, you're addicted to social media. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YikYak, Snapchat. We've come a long way from when we used to just chat to each other on MSN and log into MySpace to update your 'top friends' when someone pissed you off.
These days, people with a big social media presence are absolutely killing it when it comes to advertising and so on.
This new app, Takumi, promises to pay you £40 a post - as long as you have a minimum of 1,000 followers on Instagram. The bigger the account, the bigger the paycheck - with some users possibly making £2,000 a post.

Takumi's website says: "Work with brands you love. The more followers you have, the more you get paid. Get Takumi to see how much you could be earning."
If you've got 10,000 followers, why work at all? You could earn £15,600 a year through advertising. And if you have over 100,000 followers - you better lend me a tenner because you could earn £156,000 a year.
The Mirror reported that Dr Mariann Hardey, author of the Insta-index, said: "For the first time, ordinary people with a passion and flair for photography can commercialise their talent - actually earning a living doing what they love."

So, all that time you've spent working hard at university or in an industry you love... you could've just spent that time building up your followers.
Surely there's a catch, though? This can't be real?
