Samsung is set to recall all of its new Galaxy Note 7 handsets after reports of them exploding.

The phone was released just two weeks ago and was said to be Samsung's rival to the iPhone 7, which launches later this month.

People have taken to social media to share photos of their fucked phones.

A newspaper in South Korea, where the phones have already been released, reported that it was the phone's batteries that were causing them to blow up when they were on charge. The Independent reports that the problem is with less than 0.01% of the phones, and that so far there are no injuries connected with the exploding phones. Still, that's quite a lot of exploding phones!

If you're still hoping to get your hands on one of these, then you may be in for a bit of a wait, because as well as recalling all of the phones that have already been sold, Samsung has pulled shipments to allow more time for quality control.

A representative from Samsung told the Independent that it is working with its partners to check the parts and that it will be announcing its findings as soon as possible.

It's a bit of a shame for Samsung, because the Galaxy Note 7 was absolutely flying off the shelves elsewhere, with reviewers of it praising its amazing camera, high-quality screen and excellent battery life.
