It lands on Tuesday.

There's good news for all you Apple fanboys, the new operating system, iOS 10, is released tomorrow and it promises a whole lot of new features.

Based on previous iOS launches, the update is expected to be available at 1pm.

It was first unveiled at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) and has been out for some time in beta form, meaning some of you might have already tested it out.

If not, don't worry, your device will give you a push notification and then you just need say yes and your phone will download and install it.

Here are the key changes you'll notice once it updates...

Home and lock screen revamp

Apple has changed up the lock and home screen so you should get more detailed notifications - for stuff like replying to messages and you'll even see real-time progress on your Uber.

Giving your phone a firm press will bring up '3D Touch', giving you more options than with iOS 9. There's also a new feature called Raise to Wake, with means you can lift up your locked phone to see all your notifications.

Siri-ously big changes to some apps

Until now, Siri has only worked with Apple-made apps, like Music, Messages and Email.

Now it's been expanded, so, for instance, you can use it to order a taxi with Uber, send messages via WhatsApp and search photos on Pinterest.

(Really)QuickType

At the moment it can be a total shit, predicting all the wrong words and making it slower to write a sentence. But improvements have been made to the feature that suggests words or answers based on context when typing messages or emails.

For example, if someone texts to ask where you are, it will know to send your location. Or if you get a message such as 'what is John Connor's email?', Siri can offer to send the information for you.

Easy to access the news

Probably the most important features, to be honest. It will now be easier to read your favourite articles from theLADbible.

The app now has 2,000 new publications, with the For You section split up into topics such as top stories, sports and tech rather than articles being jumbled up in a long feed.

Friends and family recognised in Photos

Facial recognition technology will now mean photos can be grouped according to who is in the snap. And the app can even recognise non-human stuff like footballs, sea and sun loungers - meaning it can cluster photos based on what you are doing as well as who you're doing it with.

This lets it suggest themed Memories for holidays, sports or the lash.

Smarter Maps

Maps now works with other apps rather than just getting directions. So when planning a night out, you can find the club, invite your mates, and get directions there.

Music better than ever

This has been entirely redesigned so that it's less cluttered and it's easier to organise your tunes. It'll also show you the lyrics if you so wish.

The deeply unpopular Connect feature loses its own tab and the For You tab now gives fast access to songs recommended for you and recently played music.

Use Home to control your home

If you've got smart gadgets in your house, the revamped Home app will let you control them more easily than before. Stuff like web-connected cookers, fridges, lights, door locks and thermostats are becoming more popular and iOS 10 will make controlling them easier.

Better phone calls

If you're one of those people who still uses their phone for calls then there's good news - a voicemail transcription service will mean you're able to see what they want, even if you're not available to talk.

Also calling from services like WhatsApp will be built into the Phone app. So, rather than just picking a mobile call or Facetime, you can also select WhatsApp.

If you're big on emojis then the good news is they are now three times bigger. And there will even be an emoji prediction that comes up in a similar style to predictive texting.
