This Doctor Owns More Than 10,000 Yo-Yos And That's OK

It's worth $250,000...

A doctor called Lucky has more than 10,000 yo-yos in what is definitely my favourite story of the day.

If you're sat thinking, 'why, though?', rest assured you are not alone, but let's just enjoy this. At a time when so much is wrong with the world, let's celebrate Lucky and his collection.

Surgeon Lucky Meisenheimer got his first yo-yo as a teenager and he loved the bloody thing so much he's now spent $250,000 and turned his house into a museum. I wonder how many visitors he gets?

Amongst his collection, Lucky owns the world's largest yo-yo from 1992, which held the Guinness World Record at the time as it stood at 6ft tall and weighed nearly half a ton - massively impractical.

As well as that, he's got one that makes ice cream (how?) and one that blows bubbles (why?).

He's also got this hat:

Brilliant.

Lucky apparently submitted a photo of himself buried up to his chest to the Guinness World Record fol. He filled the bloody form out wrong, so he got zip. Devastating.

Don't worry, though, he resubmitted and is now the proud owner of a Guinness World Record, which he received in 2010 and hasn't been beaten.

Lucky sneers at those who own a mere one thousand yo-yos. "Those are mini collections," he told Barcroft Media.

He has a wife. When they got hitched he told her it was very much a 'love me, love my yo-yos' which she was OK with, on the condition that he keeps all his yo-yos in the 'Yo-Yo Collection Area'.

Oh, and if you watch that clip to the end you'll see that he's also got a zombie-hunting weapons collection. Sorry, what? Oh OK, back to yo-yos, then.
