Nasa To Make Major Announcement On 'Discovery Beyond Our Solar System'

Did somebody say 'aliens'?

Nasa is to host a major press conference to release information about a "discovery beyond our solar system".

The event will see the announcement of info about exoplanets, or planets that orbit stars other than our sun, with Nasa revealing no further details of what is to be said.

Exoplanets are thought as a possible location to host life elsewhere in the universe. Many have been found that resemble our own Earth and could therefore could contain the building blocks of life.

The event will take place on 22 February at 1pm New York time and will be streamed live on Nasa's television station and on its website.

Astronomers and planetary scientists from across the world will be in attendance.

Nasa have said that the public will be able to ask questions using the hashtag #AskNasa during the conference.

Wait, did someone say? Aliens?

This comes after turns out that scientists said that even if aliens comes to earth and presents no violent threat to human life, there could be an even darker danger to us laying in wake in the universe.

The Danger From Space Viruses

Scientists have warned that alien viruses which travel to Earth on returning spacecraft could be a "danger" to humans.

But they have said that as a result bugs or bacteria which are brought to our planet will be contained until testing deems them harmless.

Rock and ice samples brought back from Mars or Jupiter's moon Europa will be contained forever if necessary, said Dr John Rummel, senior scientist at the Seti Institute in Mountain View, California.

There are concerns about extraterrestrial bacteria or viruses accidentally picked up from the surface of other planets invading the Earth.

The human immune systems may be powerless against such pathogens.

Dr Rummel spoke about the fears over space contamination at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) annual meeting in Boston.

He said: "If we bring samples back from either Europa or Mars, we will contain them until hazard testing demonstrates that there is no danger and no life, or continue the containment indefinitely while we study the material.

"It is assumed that such life would be hardy - to survive the trip to Earth; not easy - and precautions taken would provide a very high degree of containment."

Systems to prevent contamination of pristine planets or moons by Earthly bugs were essential, Dr Rummel said.

And by the looks of it the alien landing could be coming sooner than you might think...

Footage Of UFOs Hovering Over Mexico And US Border Deleted From Internet

Last month mysterious footage of a group of UFOs hovering over the US/Mexico border appeared to vanish from the internet.

The floating lights over a border control post in Tijuana, Mexico, alarmed people so much that even border staff left their posts to look at the illuminations.

The clip, running 14 minutes long, shows cars screeching to a halt as others watch the ensuing event in the skies.

The video was posted to Instagram before being deleted after amassing over 30,000 views.

UFO monitoring group Secureteam's Tyler claimed the footage was re-uploaded to the social media site, only to get removed a second time.

Speaking to the Sun, he said: "These are objects which someone possibly did not want seen on Instagram which is a big red flag. This gives a signal that we may well have something here.

"At first they are random but towards the end four of them align in a rectangular formation so they can't be balloons.

"Whatever they are even the border control agents are focusing on them."

It comes at an interesting time for US/Mexican relations as President Trump continues to push his promise to build a wall between the neighbouring countries that he insists the Mexican government will pay for.

Their president, Enrique Pena Nieto has largely brushed off this notion, saying he will never pay for the proposed border wall. He even cancelled a meeting with Trump this week due to the quarrel.

It has been revealed that the planned wall may not even exist physically but virtually.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said the wall could use electronic surveillance methods to create a simulated substitute.

He told Fox News: "Any discussion about the protection of our southwest border involves discussion of physical barriers but also of technological sensors."

Catherine Herridge, a reporter for Fox News, added: "There will be the physical wall and then parts of the wall that you can actually see through because it will rely on sensors and other technology."

Whatever happens, maybe illegal immigrants shouldn't be the Trump administration's focus given that alien life could feasibly cross the border. A roof might be a better idea.

Yeah, build a roof. And make this cheeky bastard pay for it.
