Kanye West has taken to Twitter for the first time in two months to address fans directly about his meeting with Donald Trump.

Saying: "I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues."

He posted the following...

Kanye has previous stated his intention to run for president, possibly in 2020, but social media users think that the #2024 was a direct reference to him delaying his future candidacy to allow for Trump to have a second term in office.

The two men met earlier today, with the president-elect telling reporters that he and Kanye 'go way back', adding: "He's a good man. We've been friends for a long time." He also said that they were talking about "life."

Kanye West remained quiet about what they discussed in the immediate aftermath, saying: "I just want you to take a picture right now."

Mr Trump then hugged the rapper, saying: "You take care of yourself. I'll see you soon."

According to reports, Kanye asked for the meeting and Trump said: "Why not?"

Trump's transition team communications director, Jason Miller, told The Daily Beast that the two scheduled the meeting because Trump 'is going to be president for all Americans'.

He also said [Kanye] has had 'positive things to say about the president-elect' and Trump is interested in 'putting together coalitions' and wants to 'reach out to people both from traditional and nontraditional, political viewpoints'.
