If you've got pets, you'll know the guilt of going on holiday and having to leave them behind. Their little faces, full of love, as you bugger off for two weeks without them. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just take them with you?
But, I mean, taking pets on a plane, that's not practical, is it?
A Reddit user, Lensoo, has shared this image, that he was sent by his friend who is a captain, who claimed that a Saudi prince had paid for 80 tickets for his 80 hawks. Nice.
This picture throws up so many questions for me. Where he's taking them all? Why does he even own so many hawks? What if they decide to kick off mid-flight? Does the owner know that birds can actually fly anyway? Did those other passengers know that they would be sharing a flight with a fuck-load of hawks? We need answers.
I think my favourite thing about this photo, is how chilled out they all look. Like they fly on planes every day. And, they might just do that, because a second Reddit poster shared this photo he took a few years back of even more birds on a plane.

Those cute little hoods they are wearing are to keep them calm, because a hawk's eyesight can be up to 10 times better than a human's, the hood will also stop them from getting over stimulated. Plus, they look dead cute.
In the United Arab Emirates falconry is a pretty popular pastime. So, while this may seem strange to you and I, bringing birds of prey on to planes is pretty common elsewhere in the world - Qatar Airways even has a falcon policy.

And, according to Business Insider, Etihad Airways also has its own strict rules on falcon carrying. One pet falcon is OK, provided you pay an excess baggage fee, but if you want two you'll need to buy a first class ticket. So now you know.
