A British conspiracy theorist who was found dead in Poland had text his mum saying, 'Your boy's in trouble. If anything happens to me, investigate' just days before.

Max Spiers, 39, was in Poland to give a talk about conspiracy theories and UFOs and was staying on the sofa of a woman he didn't know very well, according to his mum.

Officials told his mum, Vanessa, that Max died of natural causes, however no post-mortem was carried out at the time. Vanessa thinks his death may be down to the fact that his investigations exposed government cover-ups and resulted in him making him a few powerful enemies.

She told the Mirror: "I was afraid that as he was gaining popularity and fame that perhaps someone would want him out of the way, i.e. not alive any longer. I believe somebody's killed him."

She was told that Max hadn't suffered any obvious physical injuries, however, friends have reported that he was throwing up 'black liquid' shortly before he died.

The strange death has resulted in plenty of speculation online with one conspiracy theorist taking to the Project Camelot website to say: "If it wasn't true what he talks about then why would they kill him? Healthy people don't just get sick and die, they get poisoned."

Vanessa arranged for a post-mortem to be carried out in Kent, but says that two months on she still doesn't know the results or if there will be an inquest.

Officials in Poland are refusing to hand over Max's paperwork because Vanessa doesn't have the written permission from the dead man.
