In his track 'Real Friends', released this year, Kanye uses the lyric: I had a cousin that stole my laptop that I was fucking bitches on. Paid that ni**a 250 thousand just to get it from him. Real friends...Huh? And now the truth behind that line has come out.
Lawrence Franklin, one of Kanye's cousins (but not the one who blackmailed him), told the Daily Mail that the relative found a sex tape of Kanye on an old laptop he had given to them as a gift in 2012 and demanded cash to keep it private, which is pretty fucking low.
He said: "The family member knew what he had was gold, and later called an old friend of his that was an attorney. He put together a small team, him and his attorney went after Kanye, and to show that they meant business they leaked a little information publicly to let it be known they indeed had the footage.

"The family member tried to keep a low profile but it was not long before Kanye's team learned who it was that had the sex tape."
He went on to say that this was what started his decline and eventually his recent breakdown. He claims that after the incident he distanced himself from his family and struggled to trust anyone, "where do you go? Who do you trust at the end of the day?" he added.

This all took place around the time that Kanye's mum Donda passed away, which Franklin also believes is part of the reason for Kanye's recent hospital stay due to 'exhaustion and sleep deprivation'.
He also took the opportunity to go in on Kanye's wife Kim and the family: "For the most part I don't look at the Kardashians as real people. Kim Kardashian made her way to fame through another sex tape and by showing her body - that's who she is.
"I'm not personally sure how Aunt Donda would have received the Kardashians other than a good business move." Don't hold back, mate.
