Some good news for any Gorillaz fans, the band have announced they'll be making their UK live return by hosting their own festival at Dreamland in Margate.

The animated band placed an advert for the Demon Dayz Festival in today's Metro, with the event taking place at the Kent theme park on June 10.

Former Blur frontman Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett have been working on the virtual band's album for the past two years.

They said in September that they were back in the studio and the NME revealed last month that Albarn had told a fan the album was 'done' and they were rehearsing ahead of a live tour.

Hewlett had previously said that the album was "really fuckin' special and couldn't be rushed."

In January, Gorillaz teamed up with the 2015 Mercury Prize-winner Benjamin Clementine to produce a protest song against Donald Trump titled 'Hallelujah Money'.
