Evidence Of Great White Shark In UK Waters Discovered In Very Odd Way

Scary stuff.

Bad news guys, it looks like they could be making another sequel to Jaws. Only this time it's not a drama, it's a documentary. It's going to be set off the British coast and if you're not careful it could be starring you.

That's right, a huge great white shark is feared to be prowling off the British coast, with the man-eater even close to the public's favourite holiday beaches.

The scare comes after a half-eaten 4ft long seal was discovered lying on the beach at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, yesterday afternoon. Huge teeth marks had been gouged in the seal's flesh.

The terrifying find was made by Lauren Gillies, 25, and her boyfriend Matty Burgess, 29, had travelled five miles to go for a walk on the beach.

But this wasn't any typical romantic stroll, the pair were out looking for packages of millions of pounds worth of cocaine that have been washing up on Norfolk beaches over the last few days.

It's not quite what they were looking for, but none the less a shocking find.

Lauren, told TheLADbible: "We were walking to the gym along the beach and we're hunting any washed up parcels. We initially spotted it from afar, we thought that's pretty big we've hit the jackpot! And as we walked closer and closer we realised it wasn't narcotics it was a half a seal.

"We do often go beach walking but we've never come across something like it before. It was pretty shocking!"

I'm no detective, but I don't think it's a huge leap to assume the attack was the work of a massive man-eating shark that could soon be sinking its teeth into human flesh.

The resort where the seal was discovered, is one of a number of popular holiday seaside towns along the Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk coasts. The beaches are packed with thousands of holidaymakers every summer and face out on to the North Sea.

The North sea is the perfect hunting ground for a Great White because they are filled with prey fish like cod - and it's also apparently a perfect hunting ground for cokeheads.

On Friday we reported that a massive amount of cocaine, worth around £50 million, has washed up on beaches in Norfolk, according to the National Crime Agency.

The holdalls and bags full of cocaine, weighing 360kg (793lbs), were washed up on Hopton beach and at a second beach near Caister. Police estimate that if it were cut and sold on it would be worth up to £50 million at street

Matthew Rivers, from the NCA's border investigation team, told the BBC: "We are now working with Border Force, the Coastguard Agency and Norfolk Police to try and establish how the bags ended up where they did, however it is extremely unlikely that this was their intended destination.

"This is obviously a substantial seizure of class A drugs and its loss will represent a major blow to the organised criminals involved."

The discovery was made after a member of the public spotted holdalls washed up on the beach and contacted police.

Supt Dave Buckley, from Norfolk Constabulary, said: "Whilst we believe we have recovered all the packages, should any member of the public find one they are urged to contact Norfolk Constabulary immediately.

"We will have extra officers in the area to monitor the situation."
