Oh driving tests, the stuff of horrors. I failed my first one. I hadn't slept the night before and my mum had told me I was going to fail - thanks mum - and I just started crying at the wheel when I was trying to park, got out the car and just walked home.
Anyway, the practical driving test is about to change to get more realistic - which will hopefully curb any potential crying from any stressed 17-year-olds who are about to take the test.
They've tested the changes on more than 4,500 learner drivers and 850 instructors in 32 locations across Britain... and they're finally ready to roll them out! Sounds a bit scary.
But, actually, driving has changed in the last few years, so it makes sense that they update things.

So what have they changed?
The biggest change is that they're ditching road signs to test you on how well you can use sat-nav. If anything, I think that's going to make things way easier - that's what most people use anyway these days.
They're also getting rid of the reversing round a corner manoeuvre and instead you'll be reversing out of a parking bay. Again - makes sense as there are more parking bays than spaces on cul-de-sac roads. Although, to be honest, should people not learn both?

They're also going to add a bit on vehicle safety - never a bad thing, I certainly don't want to be run off the road by new drivers.
Steve Gooding, director of the RAC Foundation told The Mirror: "The new approach will be deemed a success if, in the longer term, it produces better-prepared drivers and we experience fewer road casualties. Meantime we hope these common sense changes will be rolled out swiftly.
"These proposed changes recognise that it is more important for candidates to demonstrate the capability to drive independently on high-risk roads than being able to reverse flawlessly into a quiet cul-de-sac."
What do you think? Sounds better or worse? No word of those got awful hazard perception tests.
