Spain. A place known for sun, sangrias, siestas, and snow? Seriously, and it's not even the north - say Barcelona - it's properly in the south - where all the Brits are, probably making them feel more at home.

Seriously, take a look at this!

Those images were taken in Ronda, and are pretty spectacular. School was cancelled (always epic), when up to 15 inches of snow fell on the town. To put that into perspective, that is only four inches less than this man's massive member.

Seriously, as an aside, if you want to know this man's story, watch this video...

Popular tourist spot Torrevieja hasn't seen snow for 118 years, until now!!

Emergency services are on alert for potential flooding, as obviously the infrastructure is not equipped for such odd meteorological behaviour.

Residents in Cartagena have seen snow for the first time since 1939.

More snow is expected, too. Winter is truly coming!

Some more snow for your viewing pleasure

That's all cool, but it's not as epic as the snow on the Sahara, which has just occurred in Aïn Séfra in Naâma Province, Algeria, and also happened in December at the town too.

Karim Bouchetata managed to capture it, with the variance of the sand and the snow something incredible to behold. Somehow, it just doesn't look real.

The last time snow was captured at Aïn Séfra known as 'The Gateway to the Desert', was on February 18, 1979, when a snow storm lasted half an hour. And now it has happened twice in two months.

Karim snapped the images the moment the snow began to fall on the town and sand dunes, and the results are spellbinding, captivating and awe-inspiring.

Karim stated: "Everyone was stunned to see snow falling in the desert; it is such a rare occurrence. It looked amazing as the snow settled on the sand and made a great set of photos.

Spain's in cool, the Sahara's is spellbinding.
