Dele Alli Pranks Raheem Sterling With Wet Willy

The England teammates were joking around on the team plane

He was the star of the show in England's 5-0 demolition of the Czech Republic last week, but Raheem Sterling doesn't seem to have commanded the total respect of the dressing room after one of his teammates played a brutal prank on him.

While the Manchester City man was catching some shut eye on the team plane, Tottenham Hotspur whizz Dele Alli took the opportunity to strike.

In a video shared by the 22-year-old on his Instagram account, he can be seen creeping up on Sterling before licking his index finger and dipping it into his ear, giving him the dreaded 'wet willy'.

After keeping it there for a few seconds, it becomes clear that Sterling is in a very deep sleep and realising he's not getting the reaction he was expecting Alli changes things up, this time using his middle finger.

A sure fire way of waking up his snoozing mate, at least that's what you'd think.

But again, Sterling remains unmoved by the prank. So in an effort to rescue things, Ali decides enough is enough and just holds the player's nose, essentially suffocating him, until his compatriot wakes up.

The Spurs midfielder filmed himself playing the prank on his teammate.

Which he promptly does, looking left and right to see what the hell has just happened to him.

The funny video was posted as a story on the footballer's Instagram account with the caption: "What's Raheem Sterling dreaming about?"

And it definitely tickled football fans who have been sharing the video on social media since it was first posted.

One fan just thought it was a bit too far however, writing: "Dele Alli cleaning Raheem Sterling ear by licking hes fingers so the wax and all come out disgusting."

And though he was clearly caught unawares here, let's hope Sterling's a bit sharper when he takes to the field tonight for the all important qualifier against Montenegro.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm at the Podgorica City Stadium, and though England are clear favourites to take all three points in the Group A clash, the opposition will still prove a tough test for Gareth Southgate's boys.

Speaking ahead of tonight's game, Southgate took the opportunity to praise Sterling for his performances, saying: "His maturity off the field has allowed him to speak about things that are important to him and he has felt the love from that. That has allowed Raheem to express himself on the pitch more and become a leader."
