The 14-year-old who was shot by police for attempting to attack his schoolmates with a knife was 'bullied for days', according to a Facebook post by his dad.
The teenager, who had been named locally as Logan Clark, was shot by a police officer at Hug High School in Reno after refusing to stop and drop his weapon. He is currently in a critical condition at a Reno hospital.
Now, someone who has identified himself as Logan's dad, Justin, has posted to Facebook: "To idiots that think Logan was wrong know he was being bullied he is not the kind to back down.
"He brought the knives because he was gonna b jumped and he was the school knew of this and failed to act [sic]," the Daily Mail reports.
Outside the school gates, Demick Laflamme, whose child is friends with Logan, told the Reno Gazette Journal: "He is my son's best friend. He's a victim and he's only 15 years old.
"He's a good kid. All of his friends like him. Hell, even I love him and I don't like kids.
"The kids take bullying into their own hands, and he was shot for it."
The officer who shot Logan has not been named, but has been placed on administrative leave, which is the usual procedure when officers are involved in shootings. Justin Clark told the Reno Gazette Journal that they have contacted an attorney over the incident.
